DERBY — A candidate for Derby City Treasurer and the tax board has filed a Freedom of Information (FOI) complaint against the city, saying city hall has refused to provide him with basic financial data.

Walt Mayhew, the Democrat who is challenging incumbent City Treasurer Keith McLiverty, said he asked for “green bar” financial reports showing the “income, budgeted expenses and actual expenses” for the past five fiscal years. (Read More)
