Black and Hispanic state legislators often complain about the need for more accountability from the police, but like their colleagues in the General Assembly they too have been facilitating unaccountability for a long time. The sad case of Mubarak Soulemane, 19, a mentally ill black man shot to death by a white state trooper in West Haven on Jan. 15, should prompt the minority legislators to grow a backbone. (Read More)
