Izaskun E. “Sassy” Larrañeta traces her passion for print news to her days as a young child growing up in the Bronx. My father read newspapers feverishly and would always tell me, “If you want to learn more about the world, you must read a newspaper.” I believed that then, and I still do today. As managing editor at The Day, I guide reporters in telling stories about the community you live in. We strive to tell unbiased, honest stories that make a difference. I’m an avid Yankees fan who married a Red Sox fan. And somehow, we remain married. We live in Colchester with our two children.
