How to Access Public Records and Public Meetings

Kate Farrish, a CFOG board member and an assistant professor of journalism at Central Connecticut State University, is inviting people who are in the New Britain area on Wednesday, March 8 to join her, the CCSU Journalism Department and the student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for a free panel discussion on “FOI 101: How to Access Public Records and Public Meetings” from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Constitution Room of Memorial Hall on the CCSU campus in New Britain.

The discussion will be moderated by CFOG board member Len Besthoff, the chief investigative reporter at NBC Connecticut, and will feature Danielle McGee, a staff attorney at the FOI Commission, CFOG board member Andrew Brown from the CT Mirror and Walter Smith Randolph, the investigative editor and director of The Accountability Project at Connecticut Public.

The event is open to the public.
