The Connecticut Foundation for Open Government (CFOG) held its annual meeting on June 27 at the law offices of Hinckley Allen, in Hartford.

CFOG officers Alexa Millinger, a partner at  Hinckley Allen; President Kate Farrish, a journalism professor at Central Connecticut State University and a CT FOI commissioner; Arielle Levin Becker, Chief of Staff & Communications Director at the Connecticut Health Foundation; Izaskun ‘Sassy’ Larrañeta, executive editor of The Day newspaper and David DesRoches, director of community programming at Quinnipiac University led the meeting in person, while Secretary Mitchell W. Pearlman, a retired executive director of the state Freedom of Information Commission, was among those who participated remotely.

Longtime board member Mary Schwind, who is stepping into retirement, was recognized by CFOG during the meeting

CFOG welcomed the Hartford Courants Alison Cross to our board of directors.

The board also voted to appoint Jim Welch, formerly of the Hartford Courant, as its executive director
